Great Things Happening 'Round the City
From skate video premiers to collaborations of local boutiques, to friends rising up to support friends, this week is full of events that make me proud to live in Richmond.
Dressing a Recession
Even though the economy has been whispering recession for a while, the effects of the decline probably weren’t a major creative influence on fashion designers and their vision of Spring 2009. It’s still unknown how current events will influence fashion’s direction over the next few seasons, or how consumers will respond to what is offered.
Traditionally, the retail fashion...
RVA's 2008 Year in Review: What a City
While many amazing bands, venues, artists and events of all kinds are summarized in this annual issue of RVA Magazine, (I would have to copy and paste the entire magazine to showcase all the amazing folks mentioned) I couldn’t help but notice that they forgot to include both Nara and Rumors in this compilation issue. Both locations helped save the live music scene in this city over the past...
a guide to recycling your pre loved clothing at...
Here are some pointers on how our newly established buy/sell/trade program works. We have a constantly changing inventory, and new items for men and women arrive multiple times a day. We are selective in what we choose to purchase in order to maintain a stylish mix of pre-loved clothing.
We will price the items, and you receive your choice of 35% cash or 55% store credit of the item’s selling...

All these items were found on etsy.com, but Richmond is a creative city and i know someone out there has got to be able to do this kind of thing.

Dear Wonderful Supporters of Rumors,
Life is tough right now. Restaurants currently featured in Richmond Magazine and on local food blogs are closing…boutiques are offering lower than wholesale costs to keep doors open….and many people feel lucky to have even held on to the job they don’t really enjoy. We are adjusting our business to fit what you want and are comfortable spending. Items from our pre-loved section...
a picture is worth a thousand words
Our new website is almost done and we are so excited about the new structure of the store.
The fashion industry has been hit hard during the current recession we have been in for the past 2 years. After much brainstorming and market research we have made the decision to become a high end consignment shop. We will be scouring Virginia in our search for the greatest style’s we can find....
